IIAS Welcomes Professors Liu Hong and Shen Wei in Brussels

Diogo Pereira,

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) was pleased to welcome Professor Liu Hong, Director at the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and Professor Shen Wei, from the School of Public Administration at Zhejiang University, to the IIAS office in Brussels, Belgium, on 5 June 2026.

The visit provided an opportunity to exchange with the IIAS team on current projects and future conferences, while exploring opportunities to further strengthen academic exchanges and collaboration.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration with both institutions and developing further opportunities for exchange.

The European Group for Public Administration (EGPA) invites scholars and practitioners to propose new initiatives for its 2027 Annual Conference, taking place at Corvinus University of Budapest, Hungary, from 24 to 27 August 2027. EGPA provides a European forum for public administration scholars and practitioners to present research, exchange perspectives and develop collaborations across public administration, public management and public policy. The call welcomes proposals for three formats: Permanent Study Groups (PSGs), Ad Hoc Groups (AHGs) and Specialised Panels (SPs). EGPA looks forward to welcoming new initiatives, perspectives and research communities that will enrich its 2027 Annual Conference and contribute to the development of public administration research across Europe and beyond.

The conference introduced a call for papers across fourteen thematic tracks and an interactive programme to help participants navigate its activities.

Professor Manuel Pedro Rodríguez Bolívar, Editor-in-Chief of the International Review of Administrative Sciences (IRAS), is included in the latest Stanford–Elsevier database of the world’s top-cited scientists, recognising the sustained citation impact of his research in political science and public administration.
