IIAS Governance Week 2026 to Focus on Governance, Dialogue, and Leadership Selection

Diogo Pereira,

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) will hold its Governance Week from June 10 to 12, 2026, at its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, bringing together its leadership and institutional bodies for three days of strategic discussions and decision-making.

As a key moment in the IIAS calendar, the Governance Week will feature statutory meetings of the Institute and some of its entities, providing a structured platform to address core governance matters and reflect on the organization’s future direction. The program will also include special panels with IIAS Member States, fostering dialogue and the exchange of perspectives on shared priorities in public governance.

A central highlight of the 2026 edition will be the selection of the new Director General, marking a significant step in shaping the Institute’s leadership for the years ahead.

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) has received an unqualified audit opinion on its 2025 financial statements following the annual external audit conducted by Herbert Baumgartner and Manuela Ernst of the Austrian Supreme Audit Institution.

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) has reached the final stage of its search for a new Director General, with two candidates selected to proceed to consideration by the Council of Administration.

The International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) has extended the nomination period for its two distinguished awards: the Donald C. Stone Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Advancement and Well-Being of IASIA and the O.P. Dwivedi Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Advancement of Public Administration and Public Policy in the World.
