IIAS Governance Week 2026 Brings Together Institutional Leaders for Strategic Meetings and Director General Appointment

Diogo Pereira,

The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) will hold its Governance Week from June 10 to 12, 2026, at its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, bringing together its leadership, governing bodies, and partners for three days of strategic discussions.

As a key moment in the IIAS calendar, the Governance Week will provide a structured platform for addressing governance matters, reviewing organizational priorities, and strengthening collaboration across the Institute’s entities and networks.

The program will begin on June 10 with the General Assembly of MENAPAR in the morning, followed by a meeting of the IIAS Council of Administration dedicated to regular institutional matters.

On June 11, several governance and advisory bodies will convene, including meetings of the IIAS Programme and Research Advisory Committee (PRAC), the IIAS Finance Committee (FC), and the IASIA Board of Management Steering Committee. The day will also feature a workshop dedicated to the Governance Index Project, providing an opportunity to discuss progress and future developments of this important initiative. A formal dinner will conclude the day’s activities.

A central highlight of the 2026 Governance Week will take place on June 12, when the IIAS Council of Administration will meet to consider the appointment of the Institute’s next Director General. This important decision will shape the future leadership of the organization and support the continued implementation of its strategic objectives.

By bringing together representatives from across the IIAS community, Governance Week 2026 will reinforce the Institute’s commitment to sound governance, international cooperation, and the advancement of public administration worldwide.
