In 2009, the recipient of the O.P. Dwivedi Award for excellence in Public Administration was the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. In his absence, the award was accepted by the Minister of Planning, Budget and Management, Paulo Bernardo Silva, during the Opening Ceremony of IASIA's Annual Conference in Rio.
The winners of Pierre De Celles Award 2008 for best Conference paper are : Terrell G. MANYAK, Belay SEYOUM: The Impact of Public and Private Sector Transparency on Foreign Direct Investment in Developing Countries. The paper was presented last year during the Conference in Kampala.
