9th Session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration (UN/CEPA)

From 19 to 23 April, the 9th Session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on Public Administration (UN/CEPA) took place at the United Nations in New York.

Organised by the Division for Public Administration and Development Management/UNDESA, the main topic of this year’s meeting was an important and crucial one: “Challenges to and Opportunities for Public Administration in the Context of the Financial and Economic Crisis”.

The CEPA is responsible for supporting the work of ECOSOC concerning the promotion and development of public administration and governance among Member States, in connection with the UN Millennium Development Goals.

Two members of the IASIA Board of Management, Prof. Valeria Termini (University Roma Tre/Government Committee for the Promotion of Leadership/, Italy) and Prof. Pan Suk Kim (Yonsei University, South Korea) are currently serving as CEPA members.
