Meeting of the IASIA Board of Management, 15-16 March 2010 

Over 20 members of the Board as well as several observers were present at the meeting. Many issues were discussed, ranging from finances to publications, future conferences, IASIA’s 8 working groups and various means of future cooperation with national and regional associations in the field of Public Administration Education and Training. Three IASIA committees presented preliminary reports: the first examined the membership question, the second was responsible for preparing the 50th Anniversary of IASIA in 2011 and the third examined questions linked to accreditation and the "UN/IASIA Standards of Excellence for Education and Training in Public Administration".

During its meeting, the IASIA Board of Management also approved six new members:

• Institute of Public Administration, Bahrain
• Iraqi Center for Training and Scientific Consulting, Iraq
• Committee for the Promotion of Leadership, Italy
• University Roma Tre, Italy
• Ecole Nationale d’Administration, Mauritania
• Ecole Nationale d’Administration et de la Magistrature, Chad

The next meeting of the IASIA Board of Management will take place during the IIAS-IASIA Congress in Bali, Indonesia in July 2010. During the Congress, an election will be held to renew the Board of Management as well as to elect the next IASIA President.
