The Board of Management of the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration has met in Ankara on the 18th of November 2004. This meeting has been organized under the initiative of the Public Administration Institute for Middle East and Turkey (TODAIE), in conjunction with a regional seminar on the theme: “New Trends in Public Administration Education and Training and Public Sector Leadership Development”. Although the minimum required number of persons present to the Board of Management meeting has not been reached, some discussions took place in preparation of the next meeting of the Board in Brussels (15th and 16th of March 2005). In particular, the theme of the Como conference has finally been approved, with the help of Board members comments received by e-mail in the days prior to the Ankara meeting. No other formal decision could be made, nevertheless the direction of the discussions among Board members has greatly contributed to setting up an order of ideas for the March meeting agenda.

Finally, TODAIE has then extended its great hospitality in inviting the Board to a one and a half day excursion to Cappadocia.
