OP Dwivedi Award

The OP Dwivedi Public Service Award was established in 2008, and is named in honour of Professor OP Dwivedi for his leadership and his long dedicated service to IASIA and to acknowledge his outstanding contributions to the organization.

The criteria for being nominated for the OP Dwivedi Award are as follows:

“This award honors a distinguished international scholar or practitioner for significant contributions to public administration and public policy in the world. This award could be for advancing public administration or advancing the wellbeing of IASIA. To be eligible to be nominated for the award, the individual must meet the following criteria: (1) contributes significantly to the field of public administration or the association (IASIA) as a scholar, practitioner, or both; and (2) recommended or sponsored by an individual or institution that is in some demonstrable way affiliated with IASIA”

2010: Prof. Roger Wettenhall, University of Canberra, Australia and prof. Gabriel William, Outwardbound Sabah, Malaysia

2009: Mr. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, President of the Federative Republic of Brazil,

2008: Mr. Guido Bertucci, former Director of the Division of Public Administration and Development Management, United Nations Department for Economic and Social Affairs.
