A COMPARATIVE RESEARCH PROGRAMME REGARDING
THE EFFECTS OF CULTURE, TRAINING, AND SOCIO-POLITICAL INFLUENCES
ON ADMINISTRATIVE LEADERSHIP
No subject is more ripe for the type of comparative research that IIAS excels at than administrative leadership. Further, there is great opportunity for administrative scholars around the globe to build on the macro-level research of Robert House and Associates at the organizational level. The Globe studies examined 62 nationals with a similar comparative instrument. An IIAS study group can (1) bring greater coherence to the international discussion of administrative leadership, (2) provide individual scholars the opportunity to compare their countries with their cultural peers (e.g., Scandinavian) and world culture profile, and (3) provide superb opportunities for co-authored and edited volumes on comparative administrative leadership under IIAS auspices.
