SSPA POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS

The SSPA invites applications for two postdoctoral positions in the area of Public Management and Public Governance.  
The initial appointment will be, for each position, for one year with a possibility of renewal. Candidates must possess a PhD degree in Public Management or other similar disciplines from an accredited institution, and must have some expertise on quantitative and qualitative research methods in the social sciences . The postdoctoral fellows are expected to carry out independent research as well as to participate actively in research activities in the area of Public Management and Public Governance at the SSPA. This is an excellent opportunity for new PhD graduates to apply research methods and benefit from an active well-funded interdisciplinary research environment and publication opportunity.

VISITING PROFESSOR PROGRAM 2011-12
Area of Public Administration and Public Governance

The ‘Scuola Superiore della Pubblica Amministrazione’ (SSPA) is pleased to announce the call for the Visiting Professor Program 2011-12. This is a program aimed at inviting Visiting Professors of Public Management and Public Governance to spend a research and teaching period at the SSPA.

This is a program aimed at inviting Visiting Professors to strengthen the SSPA capacity to develop research on Public Management and Public Governance and to introduce international perspectives in the connected SSPA teaching courses and methods. The program serves to strengthen the internationalization of the SSPA by developing/stimulating research excellence and providing special opportunities for collaborative work between faculty members and Visiting Professors.
The selected Visiting Professors are expected to participate actively in research activities and to do some teaching at the SSPA.
Although the SSPA welcomes applications from scholars in all relevant areas of Public Administration and Public Governance, areas of specific interest of the SSPA are:  i) Human Resource Management in the Public Sector; ii) ICT and e-government; iii) Performance Management and Evaluation; and iv) Public Governance and Accountability.

Visiting Professorships are granted on a competitive basis. The principal criteria for the selection are  academic standing and achievements of the visitors in terms of research and teaching. The SSPA will provide appropriate facilities for the Visiting Professors.
