This year in Malta, Kathrin Frey presented the paper "Performance Information in Legislative Revisions in Switzerland". The paper first clarifies the conditions shaping the role of performance information in policy-making, and then presents empirical findings from twelve cases studies dealing with legislative revisions of policy measures in the fields of traffic safety, health and asylum policy in Switzerland. The analysis provides an assessment of how the creation and diffusion of performance information as well as the political context affect the role of such information in revisions of federal legislation in Switzerland.
