Over 400 participants took part in the various activities of the 14 EGPA Permanent Study Groups and parallel sessions organized on this occasion. Over 290 papers were presented and much debate ensued.

A seminar for doctoral students was also held on 06-07 September 2010. Twenty-two young reasearchers had the opportunity to present their work with the academic and methodological  directions of Professors Reichard, Bannister, Rochet and Eymeri-Douzans.

During the sessions of the special Host Country Workshop dedicated to the Study of Public Administration in France, French experts have exposed the state of knowledge on the French model, administrative work in France, what it means to be a top official in the hexagon and administrative reforms at all levels of governance.

The 2010 Conference ended with the election of Professor Wim van de Donk as President of EGPA and a tribute to Professor Geert Bouckaert whose projects and strategy have led the European Group for Public Administration.

We wish to warmly thank the Local Organising Committee for the excellent organisation of the 2010 Conference and for the warm welcome given to our delegates in the beautiful "pink city".
