This year’s theme, Public Administration without Borders, explores the opportunities and challenges our nation faces locally, nationally, and internationally. The global economic crisis underscores our interconnectedness. Public administration practitioners, scholars and students are being asked to consider many dimensions and alternatives as our nation grapples with issues such as global climate change, nation building in emerging democracies, and universal health care. The 2011 conference will bring together academics and practitioners who share a common concern for advancing cutting-edge governance practices in an interdependent world. Over 400 public service experts will be on hand to address concerns encountered in the workplace and offer creative solutions. Through keynote presentations, SuperSessions, workshops, panels, roundtable discussions and poster presentations, attendees will experience first-hand leadership skills to elevate the public service profession.
