The Netherlands Institute of Government (NIG), the Dutch national doctorate and research school of administrative and political sciences, has launched the Database on PhD Programmes. Its role is to gather and provide extensive information about the many PhD training programmes in European countries.

This database on PhD programs is developed in cooperation with the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration (IDHEAP) at Lausanne and the European Group of Public Administration.
