The European Group for Public Administration (1975-210): Perspectives for the Future 

This book throws the spotlight on those who have made, are making and will make an impact on the field of Public Administration in Europe, especially from an EGPA perspective. Building the discipline of Public Administration in Europe is a complex story of resources, languages, institutions, shared cooperation, platforms, visions, and interactions with practice in the field.

This publication does not centre its attention on the historical perspective, but rather on future possibilities modelled by the experiences of the last 35 years; future perspectives based on the past and the present.

This book is not meant to be a classical academic text describing and explaining why and what we are. The purpose is to demonstrate that the field of Public Administration is also a story of people. The texts thus provide the views of those involved in conducting research and teaching in Public Administration.

The objective is to provide a perspective about the future, motivate the next generation of researchers and teachers in Public Administration and launch a debate on its future.
