The 2009 IIAS (International Institute of Administrative Sciences) Conference will be held from 7 to 11 July at the University of Helsinki. The Conference is being organised by the Finnish National Section of IIAS, the University of Helsinki and the Ministry of Finance (Finland), as the main partners.

Theme 

The Conference theme is The History and Future of Nation-Building, the Role of Public Administrations, Civil Servants and Public Finances.

The General Rapporteur of the IIAS Conference will be Professor Christopher Pollitt from the Catholic University of Leuven. Fellow Rapporteurs will also be designated for the sub-themes of the Conference.
